In a Brazilian study, patients suffering from metabolic syndrome took up an exercise protocol based on whole-body vibration exercise. At the end of the trial, the participants demonstrated improved quality of life due to the increase in their physical activity.
The experiment was conducted by the Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (UERJ). The findings were published in the African Journal of Traditional, Complementary and Alternative Medicines.
In sum, patients with metabolic syndrome who followed a whole body vibration exercise protocol enjoyed better quality of life. Furthermore, the frequency of the aforementioned exercise altered the affected aspects of their lives.
